A gentle introduction to stars and planets, our Early Years Space Workshop is the perfect companion to any  Space topic.

We cater for all ages and abilities within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) by delivering the simplest of planetarium shows for the smallest of space explorers! Our presenters have plenty of experience when it comes to delivering just the right show for EYFS children, using gentle language and simple images.

Our Early Years Space Workshop can be of any length, but tends to last between 15 minutes and half an hour. This planetarium show focuses on star patterns (e.g. triangle, zigzag, house) and planet shapes (sphere), counting (e.g. Jupiter’s moons), and learning bite sized planet facts. Children are encouraged to say out loud new words like ‘constellation’ and ‘orbit’. And if there’s time, we can look at the amazing colours of stellar nurseries and explain that even stars are born, just like people!

An alternative to the planetarium show is a 25-minute immersive film, developed specially for the Early Years, called The Zula Patrol: Under The Weather which you can preview here. And if you only have a small class of Reception children, you could combine the planetarium show and film into a morning or afternoon for the price of a half day.

For very young children aged between 6 months and 3 years, we have a dialogue-free Sensory Astronomy Show. Click here for more info.

Costs for an Early Years Space Workshop are:
£250 for a half day (unlimited shows)
£400 for a full day (unlimited shows)
