An in-depth look at living off-Earth, both today and in the future.

In this talk we’ll be looking at both the possibilities and difficulties of living in space, starting with human stories onboard orbiting space stations. We’ll go on to discuss the future of human exploration of space; to the Moon, Mars, and beyond.

This informal lecture will explain how we do things now – eating, exercising and sleeping in space – and how we’ll need to adapt to the long cruise to Mars and the harsh environment there.

The talk is suitable for astronomy societies, U3A groups, Explorer Scouts and Girlguiding Rangers, and anyone with a keen mind for all things Space.
